Bocelli says he can’t leave Rome without indulging in a long and luscious dinner at restaurant Delle Vittorie. “It’s definitely my favorite restaurant in Roma” he says. Located on Via Monte Santo, behind Mazzini Square, Delle Vittorie is popular with performance people across the board-actors, singers, opera-company performers and television celebrities can be found here until late into the night.
The ambience is described as “cosy” and the simple, rustic menu defines Italian regional cuisine – think perfect porcini mushroom risotto and hearty osso bucco. The wine list contains more than 200 labels of premium drops. During summertime, it’s possible to eat dinner alfresco, out on the airy terrace overlooking St Peter’s Basilica.
